Meet the SIA Summer Camp Team- David

Hello!
My name is David Klein, and I am delighted to be joining the Shakespeare in Action team this summer. I will be working alongside Ariella and Joe with the Shakespeare Young Company for Teens, focusing on the classic, yet fresh, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

sia-summer-camp-team-david

I was born and raised in Toronto (in fact, just up the street from Shakespeare in Action), and recently graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts, where I majored in Drama. Next year, I will be traveling to New York City to continue my dramatic studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Drama program (Stella Adler Studio of Acting).

I have been performing since the age of four, when I first played in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at a theatre arts camp in the made-up role of “Apple Vendor”. Since first falling in love with the magic of theatre, I have performed in numerous pre-professional musical productions with Mainstage Theatre Company, Toronto Youth Theatre, Randolph Young Company, and UC Follies. I have also trained in music theatre voice and jazz dance, performed with a modern dance company at school, DancESAtion, and have won Show Choir Canada National Championships three years running with ESA’s SPLASH.
When not out exploring the world, I love to cuddle with my miniature poodle, Ares (see picture for adorable factor).

I can’t wait to get started this summer with Shakespeare in Action, and I look forward to meeting everyone on the first day of camp!

Meet the SIA Summer Camp Team- Anna

Hello future friends! I’m Anna (rhymes with Banana, not like the Princess from Frozen) and I will be your Summer Associate for the kid’s camp this summer. I am so excited to meet all of you and I thought that I would let you all know a little bit about myself. Just the important stuff, I promise.

Most Important Things About Anna Fraser:

1. I have an adorable puppy. Okay, well in dog years she is an adult, but she is still a puppy at heart. Her name is Phoenix and she is amazing.

2. I love ice-cream and lollipops. I usually have lollipops with me because I love them that much. This is a photo of me seriously enjoying ice-cream.

3. My favourite Shakespeare play is Romeo and Juliet. The first version I ever saw was the movie with Leonardo and Claire and I have seen it many times since.

4. My first role ever in a play was as a Peach Tree who was very mean to other trees. That’s right I was a tree villain. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of this, but I do have some photos of me in other plays I have been in.

Meet the SIA Summer Camp Team- Cara

Hello friends! My name is Cara, and I’m this year’s Assistant Director for the Kids’ production of Twelfth Night! I’m so excited to meet you all, but until that happens, I thought I’d let you get to know me first.

I’ve been performing since I was a little kid, and acting has remained my favourite thing to do even now. So we already have something in common!

I’m also a food-lover. I like everything, but if I had to pick something to eat for the rest of my life, I would pick sushi, and for dessert, I would say chocolate ice cream.

Last of all, I am a sucker for puppies and hedgehogs – they’re just so cute!!!
