BELOW YOU WILL FIND TWO GREAT FUNDRAISERS THAT YOU CAN SUPPORT TO HELP FUND LITERACY AND THEATRE FOR YOUTH IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Sonnets by Kids for Valentine’s Day!
Having trouble finding a gift that will help you stand out from the crowd? Not sure how to express the way you feel to the one you love?
Let the Bard do the talking!
For just $25 including HST, one of our talented and adorable Shakespeare Kids will call your Valentine and recite one of Shakespeare’s romantic sonnets. You book a time, and one of our budding young actors will call your intended, recite a sonnet and let them know it’s a romantic Valentine’s thought from yours truly!
And they’ll also send a personalized copy of the sonnet as a token of your love!
Sonnets by Kids is a fundraising event for Shakespeare in Action. All proceeds go toward funding Shakespeare in Action’s free arts and literacy programs throughout the GTA, including the Shakespeare for Kids Library Club, currently running at 30 Toronto Public Library branches each year.

The Shakespeare Challenge
Step into the Spotlight!
and Give At-Risk Youth Access To Live Theatre!
THE SHAKESPEARE CHALLENGE is Shakespeare in Action’s largest fundraising event. Our goal is to raise money for a subsidized ticket program. This program will enable young people from Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods to see exceptional professional theatre free of charge.
SHAKESPEARE IN ACTION has recruited nine community members to give both their time and talent to take the challenge. Under the direction of Michael Kelly and Adam Seybold, our fearless champions will perform A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM for one night only at The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto. The event will also feature a silent auction and musical entertainment.
The one night performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take place on FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2012 @ 7:30PM.
YOUR DONATION REPRESENTS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A DISADVANTAGED YOUTH IN YOUR COMMUNITY
In the words of Shakespeare, “Action is eloquence.” The greatest eloquence is your action now.
THE SHAKESPEARE CHALLENGE raises funds to bring Toronto youth in priority neighbourhoods to see live performances of Shakespeare’s plays. In this way, Shakespeare in Action hopes to foster literacy, enhance creativity and promote the speech arts in neighbourhoods where it matters most.
