Another Order of Business…

Firstly, I would like to remind everyone that this coming Saturday, February 4th is the beginning of the next session of our Shakespeare For Kids Library Club, and will run until Marth 10th. You can read more information about this session and the next one here.
Valentine’s Day is only TWO weeks away! I hope that you are all preparing something amazing for that special someone! Why not include s sonnet read to them by one of our Shakespeare Kids? Your loved one will also receive a personalized copy of the sonnet to remember that special moment forever! You can read all about the fundraiser here.

Library Club Update!

Thank-you to all the wonderful instructors (who make the classes so much fun!), and to all the interns (who organized the materials for the classes!). We must also thank the Toronto Public Library, and our sponsors at TD bank!
Please don’t forget that while the fall sessions my be coming to an end, the winter sessions are just around the corner!! Be sure to check out the locations, dates and times below. Contact your local library to sign up for a class! (Psssst! Class sizes are limited. The Library Club is for kids ages 7 to 12. Best of all…it’s FREE!!!)

Shakespeare for Kids Library Club
November 3, 2011 at 8:35 am | Posted in Library Club | 1 CommentShakespeare in Action is proud and excited to announce that our Shakespeare for Kids Library Club starts this weekend!
This amazing FREE club gives kids the chance to spend six saturdays in a row learning all about the works of Shakespeare. They’ll work with an instructor, read Shakespearian stories, and they’ll even have a chance to perform !
The program will be taking place in over 30 libraries across the city. Registration is open, but class sizes are limited, so be sure to contact your local branch as soon as possible to register.
Here’s a list of locations, along with the dates and times of the sessions:
November 5 – December 10, 2011.
10am – 12 noon sessions: Jane Sheppard, Kennedy Eglinton, Maria A. Schuka, Pleasantview, Parkdale.
2 – 4pm sessions: Brookbanks, Forest Hill, Highland Creek, Mimico, Weston.
February 4 – March 10, 2012.
10am – 12 noon sessions : Gerrard Ashdale, Long Branch, McGregor Park, S. Walter Stewart.
2 – 4pm sessions: Albert Campbell District, Beaches, Hillcrest, Humber Summit, Humberwood, Parliament.
March 31 – May 5, 2012.

Mark your calendars! This Saturday, February 6, a new session of our fabulous FREE library program is beginning.
Now in its fifth year, this program is open to children aged 7 – 12 at various branches throughout the city. Each Saturday professional actors/teachers will provide new opportunities to explore the world of magic, wizards, potions, ghosts & witches in some of the greatest stories ever told!
This Saturday, you will find us at the following branches:
Morning (10am-12noon)
Burrows Hall
Gerrard/Ashdale
Pape/Danforth
Afternoon (2pm-4pm)
Albert Campbell
Brookbanks
Centennial
Humberwood
Parkdale
Riverdale
St. Clair/Silverthorn
The program runs on Saturdays from February 6-March 13. It is FREE to participants. Register at your local branch! And if you don’t see your branch on the list, we may be coming your way in our third session…
